Patricia Brown Recreates Her Jewerly Box
from private label for some of the best names in the business: Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein Collection and Adrienne Vittadini to launching her own mini collections Patricia Brown will be POPPING UP in NYC for the first time under her new label this March 2011
Geo, Botanical, and Galaxy Collections- Look, Feel Wear!
RS POP-UP Shop is thrilled to announce the opening of Patricia Brown Collection in March 2011.
Overall the style is fashionable, yet unique, and often incorporating materials that might not traditionally be combined. Patricia Brown leans toward a very high quality look, but also incorporates paradox and the unexpected in her designs.
Patricia Brown will be unveiling 3 collections: Geo, Botanical, and Galaxy
The Geo Collection includes styles that are based in metals and metal chains, crystals or stones.
The Botanical Collection is inspired by plants and flowers, using a combination of materials that are most effective for the piece.
The Galaxy Collection is usually in sterling silver, with Swarovski crystals, and inspired by the night sky.
“My color palate is generally neutral-based, with some neutralized color accents.” says Patricia Brown. The metallics are most prominent, with silver and pewter tones more prevalent than gold, although gold is also represented. They are accented with blue-greys and bronze and subtle-colored tones within the “flowers” of “Winter Garden.” These tones should work with many different clothing choices, rather than being limited to one outfit choice, and should be able to be dressed up or dressed down, depending on the occasion.
“Patricia Brown’s collections are in line with the trend of versatility a consumer is looking for says Melissa Gonzalez, they generally complete or make an individual statement of an outfit when added as the final touch.”
Meet designer Patricia Brown in person from March 1- 12th at RS POP Shop
Opening Reception March 2, 2010 from 6-8pm.

RS POP Fashion Week SS 2011 Recap
Posted on 20. Sep, 2010 by melissagonzalez in Events, RS Pop, fashion
From September 10th (Fashion’s Night Out) through Closing Night on September 16th,
RS POP & The Lab Gallery kept the street corner of 47th & Lexington POPPING!
In a week long celebration of cutting edge Fashion, Co-Founder Melissa Gonzalez carefully selected a talented group of up and coming emerging designers to participate in Fashion Week SS 2011. The line up included Animated Closet, Tribal Couture, ModaListas, Sandra Baquero, Sohung Designs, Ceola, Blynk and EcoGir.
Press, Buyers, Stylists and Fashionistas filled the seats. Residents of midtown east, businessmen and business women filled the streets on their lunch breaks and during rush hour. The show was a “street stopper” for all and considered a hip, innovative collaboration for NYC Fashion Week. Post shows, as press stayed behind to grab photos of designers, models and RS POP team, shoppers hurried into RS POP Shop to capture the chance to get their hands on the featured designers current collections.
Closing night was a celebration of all designers participating, sponsors, press, buyers and staff. The room was filled with industry talent and networking opportunities! See below for runway events, pics and press links:

RSH & Panman Arts present: Like The Spice Gallery Group Show
Posted on 05. Mar, 2010 by Editor in Art at Roger Smith, Arts, Events, Hotel
Featuring the work of Jason Bryant, Allison Edge, and Ross Racine March 19th, 2010 – April 18th, 2010 Opening Reception: Friday March 19th 7-10pm Roger Smith Hotel 501 Lexington Ave Lobby Gallery, and Solarium Gallery 16th fl.
Like the Spice and the Roger Smith Hotel are pleased to announce that they have joined creative forces to present a group show featuring Like the Spice artists Jason Bryant, Allison Edge, and Ross Racine. The Roger Smith Hotel, a positive, open and friendly spot in Midtown Manhattan, nestled amongst the skyscrapers, is not just a hotel, but also a location for guests and visitors to get a taste of the up and coming New York arts scene. Located at 501 Lexington Avenue with its Solarium Gallery on the 16th floor, has had a long history of hosting creative and entertaining exhibitions that stimulate thought and conversation. Like the Spice is extremely excited to be invited and why we think our artists will fit their style perfectly.
In the lobby of the hotel you will find the shapes of spirals, explosions and clouds that mirror the strange psychology of Quebec-born artist Ross Racine’s fictional suburban developments. Ross has shown extensively across the United States and Canada. His “digital drawings” are hand-drawn directly by computer, creating communities that could be taken from some otherworldly Mapquest. They are in no way photographs, yet still carry a convincing feel, leaving you with the assumption that someone, somewhere, has been to see these communities in person.
Come join us on opening night, March 19th, as we begin our very exciting month-long stay at the Roger Smith Hotel! And please come to view more of these artists’ works and more at Like the Spice as we will remain open and will be hosting our own exhibition on site!
