Whatever the question is, don't hide it, make clear what it is in the @RSHotel Tweetstream and what is required to enter. This is a very murky contest.
  • WOW! What fantastic responses! You guys are all amazing. The decision was tough, but the winner, as picked by Roger Smith President, CEO and Artist-in-Residence James Knowles (@barkingdognews) is: mikeclemente with "pick the Roger Smith Hotel theme song and explain with the song's lyrics why it fits the brands persona". Congradulations! Call 2127551400 and ask for Kelly in reservations to claim your free suite in January! All others who commented, Brian (@bsimi) has extend the offer of a Free Dinner in Lily's for your great responses. Contact him to claim your dinner!! Thank you all, you rock!

Hi Adam - love the wining idea and I know the comp is over but how about getting the staff or the guests to write a completely original song about why they love the hotel...or about the brands persona? Not meaning to give you a sales pitch but I work for a company that gets groups of people to write original songs... www.songdivision.com its so much fun and could be a great fit! Our musicians work with the likes of David Bowie, Aerosmith, James Brown etc. Email anytime!

One last idea (although most people will have something boring)- Make up a fantastic drink for Paul to have on special this weekend. Must fit in 140 characters.
  • Whoever can create the best light-hearted "I stayed at Roger Smith Hotel" t-shirt design (extra credit for including bacon somehow) wins.
  • I vote for a talent contest! Send in a video of you and your best talent. It's guaranteed good time for everyone. The Roger Smith's Got Talent!
  • mikeclemente
For tomorrow's contest, participants will have to pick the Roger Smith Hotel theme song and explain with the song's lyrics why it fits the brands persona. Participants can tweet their song with the #RSHotel and often trending topic, #NowPlaying on Twitter.

Because the Roger Smith is an art hotel, how about picking which work of art the Roger Smith Hotel would fit into best. Could be any work of art. Could be a song, sculpture, painting. Like if The Thinker were sitting atop it, or it was in Starry Night, or instead of Swanee, it would be "Roger, how I love ya, how I love ya, my dear old Roger."
  • How about a classic referral program? Whoever gets the most people to refer them to @rshotel with the hashtag #rogersrooms gets a free room for a night! Would love that room for my wife's birthday! :-)
  • Tomorrow's #Rogersrooms contest should be to come up with the best proposal on how roger smith hotel could save money and energy with an environmentally conscious idea
  • How about "How many windows does the RSHotel have?" or something to do with bacon, like the best bacon picture, or bacon drawing. :)

I think you should do a geocaching-esq idea but online like a Roger Smith online scavenger hunt or tweet trivia questions related to the hotel and get answers from followers and pick a winner.
  • Since your hotel has a focus on art I think that tomorrow's contest should be to Tweet a picture from a local art exhibit. The picture could be from a museum, coffee shop, outdoor display, anything but, should include the artist's name and location of the exhibit.

I think the Rogersroom question should be in 140 characters "what is your ideal date?"

What is the worst pick-up line you have ever used or have been addressed with?
  • I think a photoshop contest would be fantastically fun!
  • How about describing what you'd do with your NYC evening if you won a night at RS Hotel?
  • How about describing what you'd do with your NYC evening if you won a night at RS Hotel?
  • My #RogersRooms giveaway idea: Bake or cook something that resembles the Roger Smith Hotel (or something at/in the hotel). Take a picture and post it. Best rendition wins!

Best Roger Smith Gingerbread house? :)

My Idea: Share on Twitter your best photo that you've taken at the RSHotel.

My best photo of course is from the bar. http://www.flickr.com/photos/davefishernc/33571...

But what about the people who dont live in NY who are trying to win too?
  • tibbon
Its a good point, but I don't live in NYC myself- but when I do go there, I'm a frequent customer at the RSHotel and tell all of my friends to go there. I normally try to seal the deal by bringing them by to have a drink from Paul. Upon one sip they instantly go from suspicious to sold.

Maybe as an alternative some other photo that shows how much you'd like to stay at the RSHotel.

Seeing as your asking people for turn the light bulb on over their heads on this one, why not have tomorrow's competition be to guess the number of light bulbs in the Roger Smith Hotel?
